Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar, a British American singer and musician, is most well-known for her songs. She was the first woman of her generation to be awarded an award from the British House of Commons Staff. Anoushka Shankar is among India's rising stars in the sitar. She is a student and daughter of the legendary Ravi Shankar. She was born in 1982 in London. Her childhood years were split in London as well as New Delhi. As a teenager when her first performance at New Delhi took place. She graduated in 1999 from her high school education within Encinitas CA. Anouskha is still pursuing a successful career in recording and performing even though she's only a teenager. Her father has accompanied her to numerous performances over some time. She has released Anourag her first solo album in 1998. Her Grammy-nominated Live At Carnegie Hall album was released in 2002. Because she has performed on many of the biggest stages around the world, her career on stage has been extensive. The career of Anoushka doesn't only involve the world of music. Bapi The of My Life of My Live is her 2002 memoir, that is a tribute to Ravi Shankar. In addition, she acted in a movie in 2003. Her role was an Bharat Natyam dancer in Dance Like a Man. Anoushka shankar is a rising superstar and her fame is expected to continue growing. Anoushka Shankar was born and raised in England and spent a lot of her youth living between London and Delhi later relocating to California in the state where she attended the high school. In Delhi during his birthday celebrations for his 75th birthday Anoushka first made an appearance performing the sitar before the crowd of just four years after her 9-year-old father. Anoushka's father toured around the world with her and she was able to gain many new experience. When she was still in her teens, Anoushka performed at Carnegie Hall at Peter Gabriel's WOMAD concert. She was the only female winner of the House of Commons Shield awarded by British Parliament to recognize her artistry and musicianship as a leading musician of in the Asian Arts.
